Todays game was a bit like...

Stick Cricket come to life.

It seems almost a shame to break up the Bosman and Smith partnership for the ODI's.

Portly power hitting FTW.

Truly spectacular crunching of the ball by Smiffy and Bosman.

Well, we were slaughtered today. Great hitting from Smith & Bosman, they really capitalised on some atrocious bowling.

It's not so much that we lost, it's that we never seemed to even try to chase. Trott played a pretty selfish innings IMO but then he wasn't exactly playing for his country's pride.

Darren, the stick cricket comparison is apt but in that picture England are hitting sixes and doing well.

I know Darren, it should be Bosman and sixes :).

Oh come on Dan! They didn't bump Morgan up the order when Cook went, I don't see anyone questioning Andy Flower! And how the hell does Tim Bresnan keep on getting full 4 overs?

I thought about playing Stick Cricket with SA to take a screen shot but that sounds an awful lot like work. Stop trying to raise the bar!

When the England innings started I said to a friend that they're only chance was for Morgan to face at least 15 of the overs. If ever there was a time for changing up the order and throwing caution to the wind, today was it.

Purna, i'm with you (i think?). We didn't promote our big hitters (noticed i optimistically went plural) and never appeared to even try and chase down the total. I focused on Trott because he faced nearly as many deliveries as Smith and Bosman but never tried to make things happen.

How Bresnan and Mahmood are in the squad i don't know.

LOL. Why I think Dan?
Trott is not really known for his T20 skills though is he? Wasn't this his T20 debut? Regardless, you are right. England never tried. But we Saffer fans don't really mind that ;).
